 Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems 

 

Presenter:  Jeff Rose, Central US Territory Manager, JCI/ANSUL Fire Suppression

 

This presentation will cover two areas.  First Mr. Rose will provide an overview of Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems.  He will discuss today's vehicle fires, including causes and statistics.  The presentation will continue to discuss Pre-Engineered Systems, including dry chemical and wet chemical systems.  A discussion on the performance testing, research and development, and FM and UL listing will be included.


The second portion of the presentation will discuss the NFPA 10 HF Standard, which governs the High Flow Fire Extinguishers.  Mr. Rose will provide an update on the NFPA 10, which governs fire extiguishers, and will compare the high flow vs. standard extinguishers.  

Mr. Jeff Rose is presently working for JCI/ANSUL Fire Suppression with thirty two year’s experience. He is currently functioning as territory manager for the Central US.  Jeff has a mechanical back ground with 14 years experience with portables, wheeled and Pre-Engineered system components. He also has 12 years experience working/Managing the ANSUL Fire School where he provided hands on fire training.  Jeff is also well versed in UL testing and NFPA requirements. His presentation will focus on vehicle systems, FM/UL testing and NFPA 10 requirements for portable extinguishers.
