Presenter: Jake Lindquist, Restaurant Technologies
Jake Lindquist’s career has primarily been focused around fire alarm and fire suppression in the local Minnesota market. At the end of last year he assumed the role of Regulatory Affairs Specialist on a national brand labeled AutoMist which is currently being made available by Restaurant Technologies Inc. and is headquartered out of Mendota Heights, Minnesota. Restaurant Technologies (RTI) consists of 40 facilities and 850 employees nationally and focuses on kitchen safety with a large share in bulk oil management solutions.
Restaurants are ever changing and the new 2017 NFPA 96 addresses some new inspection and cleaning requirements that effect the daily operation of the facilities we operate in and are also changing the ways they prefer to do business. Cooking volume is ever increasing, training costs are also increasing and local and state jurisdictions are continually stepping up efforts to do higher quality inspections at more locations in their jurisdictions due to an increased risk environment. Because of these emerging trends in regulation and industry demands for convenience restaurants are starting to lean towards alternative solutions for fulfilling the requirements of NFPA 96.
