Presenter: Jordan Van Loon, Victaulic
Jordan Van Loon is the Regional Sales Manager for Fire Protection Products in the Central US at Victaulic. He has over seven years consulting experience with all construction influences on piping and system solutions within the fire protection industry. In his current role Jordan provides expertise on piping system solutions, training and education on Victaulic fire protection solutions to contractors, owners, developers, architects, engineers and AHJs. He has a Bachelors of Science in General Engineering from the University of Illinois and holds a FE/EIT license.
Jordan’s presentation will cover the history of flexible drop technology, their anatomy and applications. He will also discuss inspection and commissioning and the future of flexible technology in the fire protection industry. At the end of the meeting attendees will be able to:
- Identify the various designs of flexible hoses and brackets, and comprehend the important differences in how they perform
- Recognize and inspect properly installed flexible sprinkler fitting systems
- Comprehend the hydraulic performance of flexible drop systems
- Locate technical support information for flexible sprinkler fitting systems
- Comprehend why flexible drops are an important component in fire safety.
