NFPA 3 and 4 – Introduction to Fire Protection System  Commissioning

While the concept of commissioning has been around  for decades, commissioning of fire protection and life safety systems is only in  its infancy. In 2012, the first ANSI accredited document covering fire  protection system commissioning, NFPA 3 The Recommended Practice for  Commissioning and Integrated System Testing of Fire Protection and Life Safety  Systems, was published. This presentation will look at some of the fundamentals  of fire protection system commissioning and answer some important questions:

Why is commissioning important?
Who performs commissioning?
Who  benefits from commissioning?
What are the project cost implications?
When  does commissioning begin and end?

Please plan to attend this important informational event. We encourage you to pass this invitation on to co-workers, professional acquaintances, friends, and others that would be interested in this program and our MN SFPE chapter.
