Presentation by: Angie Wiese, City of St. Paul, Fire Protection Engineer
We are pleased to announce Angie Wiese as the presenter for our March meeting. Angie is a registered fire protection engineer and a certified building official who has worked for the City of Saint Paul for the past 8 years. She is currently the President of the Fire Marshals Association of Minnesota. Angie serves on the Minnesota State Fire Chiefs Code Committee and has also served on the IFC hearing committee for the 2012 and 2015 adoption cycles.
Angie is going to update us on the more significant changes coming in the 2014 Minnesota State Fire Code as well as what is changing on the national level for 2015. The state last adopted a fire code in 2007 which amended the 2006 International Fire Code. Over the last 7 years, many historical fire events and building technology have impacted where the code is today and where it is going. This presentation aims to enlighten how we got to this point and how you can take advantage of what the code has to offer.
Please plan to attend this important informational event. We encourage you to pass this invitation on to co-workers, professional acquaintances, friends, and others that would be interested in this program and our MN SFPE chapter.
